Dimensions and Measures are the two categories of columns available in a dataset.
A dimension is an non-measurable attribute in a table.
A measure/metric is a column that can be physically measured.

car is a dimension, economy,cylinders, displacement etc are measures.
Sometimes numbers can be dimensions as well.
For example imagine there are 3 types of cars : 1,2 & 3. This is a numerical quantity but is not measurable.
Dimensions and measures can be set in the table properties option.
